For anyone in the Wasdale area at weekends and bank holidays check out the Wasdale Explorer Bus. This operates at weekends and bank holidays until the end of August 2026 and runs during the day between Nether Wasdale to the head of the Wasdale valley and also at various times to Ravenglass providing a using transport service which might help fit in with your plans. The bus costs £3 for all day travel with children travelling free.
